It is important to make sure we get a meter reading to insure an accurate bill. If the meter reader isn’t able
to obtain a reading a yellow card is left at the door for the resident to call the Village Hall with the reading. If we do
not get a reading an estimate bill is sent out. It is also important to have the new electronic meter installed to avoid estimated
bills (see next section).
A high bill could also result in plumbing problems such as a running toilet, a water softener
not shutting off or open outside faucet. If a plumbing problem is found having it corrected early could save hundreds of dollars.
