The Commission is a three person board responsible for original entrance testing, as well as promotional testing for all grades
of rank within the Police Department and the posting and maintaining of current eligibility lists appropriate for those positions.
They shall recommend for appointment all officers and members of the Police Department of the Village of Sauk Village and
they will establish rules (a) to carry out the purpose of this division, and (b) for appointments and removals in accordance
with the provision of state law. The Board from time to time, may make changes in these rules which shall apply only to the
conduct of examinations for original appointments, for promotions, and to the conduct of hearings on charges brought against
a member of the Fire or Police Departments.
